• What is your Ace of Spades?

In 2003, Eric Maddox collected the intelligence which led directly to exact location of America’s number one enemy, Saddam Hussein – the Ace of Spades in the infamous Deck of Cards. Thrust, unprepared, into the War in Iraq, Staff Sergeant Maddox was forced to rely on innovation, teamwork and the power of network driven intelligence collection to accomplish the mission.

His story is filled with wit, wisdom and profound insight. The audience will be drawn from tension to release as he weaves the narrative of how every perceived failure leads forward. Each step, each connection is necessary for the success of the mission.   Eric recounts the way he created a unique methodology and technique for interrogation – leading to the capture of Saddam Hussein and shaping the future of how he would collect intelligence for the military and for civilians going forward.

The uses of empathy, listening, and network analysis are key components of Eric’s technique – unprecedented upon the battlefield and contrary to accepted strategy. However, unlike the known and accepted strategies, Eric produced results.

Each moment of his story draws parallel to the way business intelligence is gathered and the necessity to innovate to an ever changing battlefield. The methods and techniques are as relevant within the boardroom as they are upon the battlefield. They are proven methods of success up and down the command structure. Eric Maddox and his story will inspire your organization to take action and inspire risks for growth and unprecedented success.

We had a fantastic event last night. I have been getting emails all day about how everyone enjoyed the discussions, venue, and presentations. Eric was a big hit – and he did great job presenting. He actually ended up staying until after 9PM talking with our folks and signing books. That was much appreciated!

Bill Ball

WOW – I love Eric Maddox! He was a dream to have as a speaker – very low maintenance. And his presentations were excellent – really fascinating stuff and my people responded really well to him. I would have loved to have spent more time with him just to ask him questions…

Ron Lallo

It was unbelievable! I was going to send you and Gail an email last night but I didn’t get home until close to midnight.

Eric was GREAT!!!! So many members said it was the best event ever! He stayed for 3 hours after the program to mingle with the guests during strolling dinner which is such a nice touch! So many speakers do their ‘thing’ then want to leave immediately. Our members mentioned to me many times “he’s a hero”.

I can’t tell you enough how much our members loved it! Many of the old times that never come to events were there and said this was the best event they’ve been to!

Maureen Panone

"A one-in-a-billion story... best speaker I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. Your willingness to spend time tailoring the presentation and answering members questions after the conference was most appreciated. I wish all the speakers I work with could be as generous and caring about the outcome of their efforts as you are."

Allison Zimmerman

"One of the best keynote speakers I’ve ever seen! Eric’s amazing story of finding Saddam Hussein kept me on the edge of my seat and inspired me to challenge the status quo."

Nathan Badgett

“I've yet to speak to anyone in attendance that did not find the entire speech informational and entertaining... The “draw” was the subject matter. What made the subject matter so interesting was that Eric “humanized” it by touching upon the personalities, beliefs, and values of those he interrogated.”

Jon Osborne

“It is truly rare to see a speaker capture the attention, the rapt attention, of the 64 adolescent boys at Tulsa Boy’s Home like Eric (Maddox) did here recently.  I could tell by the questions they asked that they really listened and paid attention to details…Eric made the war in the Middle East seem like something not so far away anymore…He  made it real, and relevant, for the boys…A powerful and riveting story about honor, courage, commitment and determination…Everyone needs to hear Eric’s story”.

Gregg T. Conway

“I found Eric to be fascinating as he related his story about the actual events leading up to the capture of Sadam … Thanks for a wonderful program!”
